Discovery = Knowledge

Welcome!

This is the website for the laboratory of Gwendalyn King, Ph.D. Since 2011 the King lab has served as a place to discover new knowledge. We focus on understanding the aging brain. And since proteins run the world, as far as we are concerned, that means seeking to understand how proteins function or change function during the aging process. Aging is not a disease but it is a risk factor for the worst of the neurodegenerative disorders out there. This is why we love studying the brain: change comes with new knowledge and we seek to contribute! Here you can find out more about our work and our team (we like to brag AND have a lot to be proud of see the Wall of Fame!).

This is also the host location for the Creighton Nu Rho Psi Honors Society (see the Wall of Fame for our Member writing assignments!), Creighton Brain Day (home of the Nebraska Regional Brain Bee), and Jays ReNest (Creighton’s Annual Move-out collection campaign). There is a lot to do in spreading knowledge and empowering change and we like to be involved!
