Ameera Naif worked for three years in the King lab moving a project from observation to quantification regardless of the obstacles. She is a Psychology major who has done the hard work of discernment and following where her intellect and interest drive her.
Ameera will be attending the University of Colorado to begin the process of becoming a trauma psychologist. Not many step into the very darkest, hardest parts of being human but it isn’t really a surprise that Ameera will be there, helping people heal and grow.
Ameera was recognized with an award from Student Support Services for First Generation College completion. She was the 2024 Student worker of the year. She is receiving research honors for her work in the lab.
