Nu Rho Psi

Nu Rho Psi is the only nationally-recognized honor society in the area of brain research. The study of the brain is one of the noblest of academic pursuits because a deep and true understanding of the principles by which the brain works contributes directly to the quality of our lives and the well-being of future generations.

Since chartered in 2019 the Creighton chapter (beta in Nebraska) of Nu Rho Psi works to build stronger Neuroscience professionals. Member meetings build skills critical to success after college, create community, and provide avenues for service around our shared interest in Neuroscience. Since 2020 we, in collaboration with the Neuroscience community at Creighton, have hosted Creighton Brain Day and are the only site for the Brain Bee in Nebraska.

Membership to the Society is offered twice a year. Both full and provisional membership levels are available. Membership is based GPA, Neuroscience coursework, and interest in becoming or being a Neuroscience major. Contact Society moderator Dr. King for more information and to be on the application distribution list.

All members are required to attend twice monthly meetings held Monday nights at 5pm each semester. All members are required to complete active member requirements established by our leadership team each semester. Members may join our list-serv to receive updates and announcements.

Want more information? Contact the 2023-2024 leadership team: Isabel Kidd, Liv Klammer, or Dr. King.
