Dr. King’s former postdoctoral mentor was on campus to discuss her ongoing work to identify novel therapeutic strategies for to treat glioma… maybe the least treatable cancer out there.
She was such a joy to have on campus as she talked to faculty, held a special lunch for Neuroscience students, and let us in on the “behind the scenes” realities of one of her recent papers where a reviewer’s suggestions led to a completely new approach to the data… with therapeutic implications!
We asked her to come as a “gift” to NuRhoPsi for a successful second year of Creighton Brain Day … we should definitely do more events worthy of a gift like this!
