Wowsa, never saw that one coming! But the students of Creighton, via the Creighton Student Union actually left Dr. King speechless by awarding her the 2022 Robert F. Kennedy Memorial Award for Teaching Achievement. This once-in-your-life at Creighton award is conferred at commencement (nerves anyone?) as recognition of teaching that is above and beyond. Dr. King was cited for innovation and rigor. Not words that students tend to appreciate in the moment, but then again college isn’t about the moment but preparation for all that is ahead! More here.
